It’s Not Australian Gold Rush, It’s an Eco Rush

September 02, 2017

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September 2,  2017 –   There are so many great reasons to participate in and be part of Australia’s first international Eco Fashion Week Australia (EFWA) being held in Perth the 20-27th of November 2017.  EFWA holds community, sustainability and education as its core while also promoting locally, ethically produced fashion, conservation, and sustainability education.

From our first announcement on the 24th 0f April until today - only 4 short months later -  EFWA  has been very busy receiving applications from Western Australia, national and international fashion designers. They range from those well known on the global stage to emerging and student designers just starting out.

EFWA has now come very close to reaching the maximum number of designers we can accomodate during this week  and therefore have to move our closing day for registration to a date two weeks earlier.

Our new closing date for applications to show at EFWA2017 is now the 15th  of September 2017 instead of the 30th of September as originally advertised. If you are a designer who would like to be a part of this exciting international event, please submit your registration along with any applicable fees as soon as possible.

“It’s a Eco Rush … at least that's what it feels like. We are overwhelmed and grateful for the amazing number of applications to show.  EFWA 2017 already has 20 Australian and 14 International fashion designers confirmed for individual shows this week. Plus we have another 21 designers from 12 countries represented in our first ever EFWA Upcyling Challenge by Marilyn R. Wilson.  This incredible result shows how strong the growing demand for sustainable, locally made ethical fashion is.  Now is the time to stop fast fashion forever.” - Zuhal Kuvan-Mills  CEO – EFWA and Designer of Green Embassy

EFWA will run from 20th - 27 November 2017 w ith fashion shows on the 23rd- 27th of November.
