After more than two years of planning, the first ever Eco Fashion Week Australia is now a reality! This is the only INTERNATiONAL Eco fashion week to be held in Australia and it has drawn the attention of national and international media. The world's eyes are now on Perth!
From November 23 – 27th, over 40 local, national and international Eco fashion designers will be in Fremantle to show their latest collection on our runway. Award winning Australian fashion design graduates representing four universities will also have their work showcased along with several current design students.
There is an exciting international EFWA Upcycling Challenge by Marilyn R. Wilson making it's debut. 21 young designers from 12 countries were challenged to create a runway look from upcycled men's dress shirts and what they came up with is truly unique. The week will also feature an inspiring Malawi Eco Designer Showcase featuring the work of six talented African artists curated by Patti DeSante.
Rounding out each evening will be performances by three local musicians - Sharin, Kaitlin Rose Keegan and Rob Walker - and a Style It Green collection by EFWA2017 fashion stylist Dalija Vlahov where she will choose five audience members for a unique makeover that will show different ways the Little Black Dress can be styled.
Each night offers an exciting and unique set of runway shows to enjoy. You can view a full listing of each night's schedule and purchase tickets on the website at www.ecofashionweekaustralia.com.
Limited seating is available each night, so purchase your ticket early to avoid disappointment.
Note - this week also includes an Eco Seminar Series and several hands on workshops. Most are free but registration is required.
